The Fuji Film Scholarship Awards were a production award for those Colleges who had entered a script into the Fuji Film Scholarship Production fund. If your script was chosen, would mean that your script now became one of 16 to go into Production for the Fuji Film Scholarship Awards. These 16 scripts were chosen out of 32 submitted and invited scripts from accredited Film & Tv courses in the UK.
Even the recognised top Art and Media Colleges and Universities were only ever accepted on merit. The productions would then be judged by recognised industry peers and also supported within the industry from editing, film stock and finally to the awards ceremony at BAFTA.
THe production's were judged on the following criteria:
Best Director
Best Production
Best Editor
Best Art Direction
Best Script
Best Stills
Best use of Creative Publicity
All awards had a range of prizes from £500 to being accepted into the Director's Film Guild.
